The son of Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei's security chief, Fuad Shuhada Ismail was arrested by Judea and Samaria Police on Saturday after he was caught driving in a stolen car.
According to police officials a patrol spotted Ismail, 21, driving near the Ofer base outside of Ramallah and after running a check on the car discovered it had been stolen from Ashkelon earlier that morning.
Police arrested Ismail, who claimed that a resident from Ramallah had given him the car. Officials said the keys and original car documents were found inside the vehicle.
In a crackdown to nab stolen vehicles in the West Bank over the weekend, police netted 26 cars that were stolen from Israel.
